Look at his team ( oour beloved Hawkeyes ) and their record versus Illinois this year, and Illinois versus UWM and Pearl. Iowa looked much better.
Actually, Pearl did an excellent job, and if in a different regional, and not against a team loaded with the guards the Illini have, they could go have gone farther. I like BP, he is a good guy.
Illinois looks beatable. VERY BEATABLE. Dont you all think?

The Illini look beatable if Head´s hammy tightens up overnight. If he´s not healthy either team they would face in the Elite 8 will/can beat them.
(I picked Ok State to win it all at the start of the tournament and I´m sticking with them now) |

| To answer your question, Henery, I´ve felt that Illinois is beatable for quite some time. I had them losing to Boston College (I think) in the Sweet 16. If you ask me, UW-Milwaukee got starstruck. They were fine until they decided that Illinois wasn´t going to back down - then they panicked. Too bad, too, because they might have actually won had they just remained calm. |

And it didnt help UWM that their tallest guy was hurt in pregame warmups when he slipped. It seems that that floor was a bit slippery for some of the games too, I wonder if it was the ice underneath. _________________ Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain

Horizon League with one entry goes 2-1
Missouri Valley with 3 teams goes 1-3.......maybe Henery´s onto something. _________________ "For those who understand, no explanation is needed.

I think the tournament doesn´t do much to say one league is better than another. That being said, the Big Ten showed (sans Iowa and Minny) that they are better than a lot of people thought. Just because they have two in the final four, you can´t say they were better than the ACC, but you can say they were a solid league.

I think we are safe to say the Big Ten is the strongest conference this year, their winning percentage is the highest of the conferences represented. PLUS, with either Michigan St or Illinois winning the title, all the more obvious in my mind.
Glad the so-called experts said the BT was down this year. _________________ "For those who understand, no explanation is needed.

The Big Ten was top heavy.
The big 3 and the little 8 is what it was. Still, it´s nice to see two BT teams in the final four. _________________ Schadenfreude. |

Well, a couple of the second tier werent bad. A different first game opponent, the Hawks may have made the next round ( I know,....woulda, coulda, shoulda.....it was like the perfect opponent for Iowa to not play ). I do believe first time in the NCAA jitters played a part in that game, and that is normal for a team lacking seniors. _________________ Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain
