John Lickliter has earned more minutes, that he is playing good. So, more for John, less for who? Will this act of lunacy help other guys to decide to transfer? I would, as this kid isnt worthy of anything but spot time, not MORE minutes. I think this explains even more about Lickliter, and it reinforces my conclusion that this guy needs to go.

I mostly agree with you about young Lickliter, but I don't think Payne is all that great shakes himself. I know he's young, but he does some things out there that drive me crazy -- turnovers, mental errors, poor shot selection etc. Young Lickliter probably should be playing for an Iowa City rec league.

Payne actually IS a Division I quality player. He is developing with the PT he is getting, and is maling many of the normal frosh mistakes, though I think he has a decent upside. My concern is if he stays around if he loses time to John Lickliter, and is he getting the type of coaching that is improving him (I have my reservations about this, as I am not impressed with this coach and his staff).
