Still incredibly friggen frustrated after last night´s game. Our boys dribbled it down their respective legs again.
"Hand signals" at halftime??? It´s the 11th game in Big Ten play and the only thing alford can come up with is hand signals??? Here´s an idea, when Purdue switched to the zone IN the 2nd half....ADJUST, ADJUST, ADJUST. But no, not alford, we´ll try our new hand signals.
Of course I´m still waiting to find out why Landry wasn´t given TWO technicals for hanging on the rim. Erek Hansen needs to grow a pair, he should have body-slammed that guy when he took a seat on his shoulders.
The officiating was horrendous, with ed hightower working the game is there truly any wonder?
One of my boss´ has started the Fire SA fund, anyone interested? _________________ "For those who understand, no explanation is needed.

Interesting that no one punched holes in the statement I threw out the other day. It was set up to be able to be punched at...it was holier than the Pope. So now, with the results that we have with SA, do you want him to be the guy to give out the scholarship he has left for this year, and then the five more he has for next fall? My statement was aligned to the side that IF a new coach was brought in, would he be have the contacts and all to capitalize, or would we have a situation where he fills it up and they really arent what he nor the program needs. To reverse that, do we ( or you as an individual ) have the confidence in SA to fill those? Do you trust his judgement, do you think he has learned enough to use them wisely? Does the addition of Neal give a talent evaluator ( the NBA experience and the Eupoeam and camp connections ) that wasnt previously here, and make up for a possible deficiency? I would bet that the kid from St Joseph´s will have the toughness and leadership skills that this team sorely lacks ( that isnt a knock on the guys, but it is pretty obvious that there isnt a take charge guy here....Adam and Mike looked to be trying, and they are the underclassmen...and perhaps the true future is in them ), and that will help....but more is needed. A new coach doesnt guarantee anything but a new face, I would hope for a real good, younger guy ( late 30s to early 40s ), working his way up, and with the connections to grow, to develop a program ( kind of what we have now, but the development process wasnt as far along as hoped...but remember Sharm coached while fresh out of school almost...he was what late 20s into his 30s, the resultss were not so hot then ), that is why Mark Few appeals to me, and to others, Tom Crean is that type too. To get a good one is hard, can it be done. OR, is the worst scenario to keep the present guy and hope let him finish his contract and see if he can bail himself out ( but really, will the masses have THAT much patience ? ). The decision seems easy, but really, is it? I want change if I can be guaranteed results, it isnt practical otherwise.
As for the last couple of games, it really is apparent that Horner really isnt capable of taking control, I think it is too much for him and that isnt to put him down, but he carries a heavy load. I sometimes think that is why he seems to be sour and complaining a lot, the stress ( although the officiating does seem real one sided against the Hawks ). Bru isnt a guard, thus it isnt his role, nor his skill set to take over and control as he doesnt control the ball ( I think if he was a guard, he has the mental makeup to do it ). MH and AH have seemed to be trying the most the last couple of games, inexperience is their main opponent, I think, right now, but they seem to be gaining ground quickly ( but quick enough to salvage the season? ). It is obvious in my mind that PP was the take charge guy, and the guy who was the safety valve for JH, and he may have made crazy plays, but he was the guy willing to do it and deal with the consequences. It is really a shame from the team view of things that he screwed up ( and from the another side, it is REALLY a shame that he hurt someone...period ).
Well, the end of the season will have us all waiting to see what is next now, wont it? It could be like trick or treat and we if can go to the show, or like a trip to the dentist and we have to find out if we have any cavities.
