by Coach Lickliter for a violation of team rules. Lickliter suspended Tucker after Tucker informed the coach himself.

Rumours ( I hate to give any mention of them ) indicate alcohol as part of the issue. I guess we will see. Last year Bohall was in the dog house for a long time. Lets hope here that this isnt too serious, an issue that only involves Tucker ( although, if its a passed out situation as with Bohall, where were the friends ? ), and he can learn from it and grow up.

The rumor has both a good and bad component.

The bad component (and again, just rumor from reading different boards) is that he got so drunk he ended up with acute alcohol poisoning and wound up in the hospital. Wouldn't be the first college freshman to do so, but still not good.

The good component is (1) no legal violations or confrontatons with the ICPD, and (2) that, once he recovered, he told coach Lickliter himself, rather than waiting for him to find out.

Hopefully a learning experience that won't be repeated, assuming, again, that this is what really happened.

Agreed. I think, if its true, that he told Lickliter himself, that is a good thing. I guess if he avoided the ICPD and went to the hospital, he had someone with him to get him there ( was it a teammate, and was he drinking too ?).

Hopefully an experience learned from and not repeated, and more important, isnt indicative of a problem for/with him.

I don't know anymore. I assume someone brought him there, because, if there were an ambulance ride involved, I'd think there would be some public record of that. Nothing about any other team members has come out.

Someone else on the Hawks Nest heard it was missed classes, so who knows? The rumor as I posted it seems to be the more prevalent one though.

Best case is it was a stupid, one-time thing, that will never happen again, by a college freshman who didn't know how to drink and probably had people buy a bunch of shots for him or something.

Although, as we know, Lickliter doesn't seem to have a lot of tolerance for stuff like this, given how far into his doghouse Bohall was last season after his drinking incident.

And to repeat, we don't even know for sure if this is what happened with Tucker.

The Star-Tribune had a piece, and it quoted those who know him up there that it was alcohol related. I also hope its a one time deal, not something that contributed to his "sickness" and a few poor games.
